Originally from South East Asia, Shiva left Malaysia to pursue an undergraduate degree at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. She graduated with a degree in Finance in 2006 and continued in Finance, working as an Investment Banker for three years in Milwaukee and London.
In 2009, with the craziness of the Banking industry, she was forced to leave Banking but used the opportunity to travel the world, making extended stops in Tanzania and Argentina where she volunteered to work with vulnerable children and adults with disabilities. After making it back to Malaysia, she reignited a high school flame and picked up where she left off in theatre years before finance.
Shiva received her MFA in Acting from Columbia University. In New York City, she has produced two theatrical productions with her first company Next In Line Productions LLC: Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me by Frank McGuiness and Exposure by Laura Zlatos; and had her off-broadway debut as an actress in Classic Stage Company’s Nathan the Wise by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, directed by Brian Kulick and stared F. Murray Abraham. Currently she is working on her first web content – a short 6 episode webseries written by some of the most exciting playwrights in the US.
